Crash Structures CAE Specialist

As an experienced Structural Engineer with over 5 years of experience, your main role will involve developing and defining structural sections for lead structures and load paths to withstand various crash modes such as front, side, rear, and roof impacts. Your responsibilities will include: - Evaluating energy absorption, structural integrity, and vehicle behavior under different impact scenarios. - Conducting crashworthiness simulations using LS-DYNA to predict structural integrity and impact protection. - Integrating characterized data into LS-DYNA to simulate complex failure patterns under various crash conditions. - Designing load paths for high-speed and low-speed crash scenarios, optimizing energy absorption and balancing structural demands. - Demonstrating a strong understanding of high-strength materials, structural balance, and ensuring compliance with IHS, USNCAP standards. - Contributing across the full program cycle from concept development to product launch, with a focus on crash safety and optimization. - Correlating virtual simulation results to physical testing, signing off simulation results, and providing clear documentation with recommendations. - Demonstrating proficiency in LS-DYNA and ANSA for simulation and analysis. - Ensuring familiarity with global automotive safety standards such as FMVSS, ECE, and NCAP. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and crashworthiness of vehicles, making a significant impact on the safety and performance of the products.,
