CPU Performance and Power Analyst/Engineer

Role Overview: As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be involved in planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems, circuits, mechanical systems, and various digital/analog/RF/optical systems. Your role will include working on cutting-edge products and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that meet performance requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Analyzing the performance aspects of Snapdragon CPU subsystem and influencing performance uplifts in upcoming revisions - Guiding the execution team by projecting CPUSS performance in upcoming chips and correlating with pre-silicon runs and post-silicon measurements - Driving deep dive analysis on performance issues and providing fixes or workarounds on CPU subsystem and related SOC Modules - Having a strong CPU architecture/analysis background with exposure to modern chipsets-based ARM/X86 embedded system concepts - Engaging with architects and design teams to investigate next-generation CPU microarchitecture performance features through workload-driven investigations - Developing and simulating workloads for pre-silicon performance analysis and projections on silicon - Leading initiatives for performance technology alignment across product engineering teams Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience, OR - Master's degree with 2+ years of Hardware Engineering experience, OR - PhD with 1+ year of Hardware Engineering experience - Experience with microprocessor and/or SoC architecture, ARM processors, cache configurations, and coherency issues in multi-core systems - Familiarity with workload performance characterization, bottleneck analysis, and microarchitecture investigations - Hands-on experience with Lauterbach debug environment, emulation platforms, and Linux boot - Strong data analysis skills and technical ability to investigate anomalies - Programming experience in languages like C/C++, Perl, or Python - Understanding of Linux and Android internals from a performance perspective - Excellent communication skills for collaboration with peers and senior engineers - Knowledge of pre-silicon environments and high-performance microprocessor architecture - Post-silicon experience and debugging skills using relevant tools would be advantageous Additional Company Details: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
