Counselor International Student Support

You are invited to join Parul University in Vadodara, Gujarat as a Counselor for Foreign Students. As a Counselor - International Student Support, your primary role will involve providing personal, social, and academic counseling support to our diverse international student community. You will be the initial point of contact for students seeking assistance and guidance in adapting to the cultural, academic, and social aspects of university life in India. Your responsibilities will include addressing individual concerns such as stress, homesickness, and academic pressures through personalized one-on-one sessions. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing interactive sessions, workshops, and wellness programs specifically designed to cater to the needs of international students. Collaboration with the International Cell, hostel coordinators, and faculty members will be essential to ensure the overall well-being of our international student population. To qualify for this role, you should possess a graduate or postgraduate degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work, or a related field. Strong communication skills in English are a prerequisite, while proficiency in foreign languages would be advantageous. An empathetic, culturally sensitive approach combined with a student-friendly demeanor is essential. A minimum of 5 years of counseling experience is required, with more than 10 years being preferred.
