Costing Engineer - Electrical Panel Industry

Role & responsibilities prepare accurate cost estimates for LV/MV electrical panels, switchgear, control panels, etc. Analyze BOMs (Bill of Materials), design drawings, and specifications to determine material and labor costs. Coordinate with design, procurement, and production teams to gather real-time data for costing Maintain updated pricing for components, materials, and labor Evaluate and improve cost-efficiency in manufacturing processes Prepare costing reports, variance analysis, and margin analysis for management Assist in pricing strategy and provide support for bidding/tendering processes Track actual costs vs estimated costs and report deviations Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant field Proven experience (2-5 years) in costing within the electrical panel or switchgear industry Strong knowledge of electrical components, panel layouts, and industry standards Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
