Corporate Underwriter Property Insurance | General Insurance | 3-5 Years - Ahmedabad Summary: An excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate property underwriter to join a leading general insurance player. The role focuses on underwriting Fire, IAR, Burglary, and Engineering insurance policies for large commercial clients across industries like manufacturing, retail, healthcare, hospitality, and education. Location: Ahmedabad Future Employer: A well-established, fast-growing general insurance company (Company name confidential) Key Responsibilities: Reviewing and underwriting new and renewal proposals for corporate Fire, IAR, and Engineering policies. Evaluating risks based on occupancy, construction, exposure, location, claims history, and fire safety measures. Recommending premium rates, coverage conditions, deductibles, warranties, and exclusions. Coordinating with brokers, agents, sales, and reinsurance teams for quote issuance and policy structuring. Attending risk inspections and client meetings for high-value or complex property risks. Ensuring compliance with IRDAI regulations, underwriting guidelines, and audit documentation. Requirements: 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate property underwriting within general insurance or an underwriting agency. Strong knowledge of Fire, IAR, Burglary, and Engineering insurance products . Excellent risk assessment and pricing skills . Effective in stakeholder management, negotiation, and client coordination . Familiar with IRDAI regulations and insurance portfolio management . Proficient in insurance software tools and MS Excel .
