Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in assurance, preferably with mid-tier accounting firms or large domestic Indian companies. ### Roles and Responsibility Lead engagements from the GDS front, ensuring timely and high-quality work that meets EY GAM and global team expectations. Demonstrate a strong understanding of GAM while reviewing procedures performed by GDS staff, leveraging EY tools for efficient reviews. Develop and maintain productive relationships with key EY Global counterparts, such as Assurance executives based out of Americas or Europe. Ensure EY Quality and Risk Management procedures are embedded into engagement team's work. Proactively discuss workflow management with assurance teams, allocate resources to assigned work, and monitor performance against standards. Demonstrate professionalism, competence, and clear communication when dealing with GDS and Global teams. Establish expectations of value to be delivered to respective GDS Global teams aligned. Identify opportunities to improve the scope of work for GDS on one’s own engagements and standardize review processes, leveraging best practices across one’s aligned engagements or beyond. Motivate and lead GDS team members, identifying and fostering key talents, coaching, and supervising team members. Be responsible for various operational matters related to engagements aligned and conduct timely performance reviews, providing feedback and training. Lead by example. ### Job Requirements Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / ACCA / CPA. 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in assurance, preferably with mid-tier accounting firms or large domestic Indian companies. Possess technical knowledge, including the ability to interpret reviews and accounting standards, along with strong project management skills. Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to confidently lead conversations and discussions with key stakeholders. Exhibit robust logical and reasoning skills, with the ability to spread positive work culture, teaming, and live EY values. Ability to quickly form strong working relationships with colleagues in India and global teams. Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook is desirable. Interest in business and commerciality is an added advantage.
