As a Copywriter, you’ll create innovative and effective digital content for Target.com and email marketing. This includes both editorial and promotional copy, written in the Target brand voice and balanced with a clear, concise, easy-to-navigate approach. You’ll be asked to merge consumer insights/data with creative best practices, and to quickly adapt to shifting priorities. You’ll need to stay up-to-date on emerging trends and innovations in digital marketing/ecommerce, and of course, ensure the accuracy of your copy. Copywriters work within Target Creative, Target’s in-house creative department. Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Responsible for working on copy that aligns with client briefs & our tone of voice. Does thorough research on the brand language, social media presence & existing campaigns. Should be part of the daily creative connects.
Oversees the copy process from concept to completion, ensuring creative vision is
utilized to the highest standards. This includes collaborating with the leads & PMs. Makes revisions and refinements to the copy based on client feedback. Works under the guidance of the Senior Copywriter & Managers, taking direction and feedback to refine creative concepts. Presents ideas and drafts to the ACD or Managers for approval before the routing process. Creative Excellency – Should be part of the daily copy audit process to reduce the scope of errors. Should partner up with the leads to onboard the new TM as Copy Buddy. About you:
  • Four-year college degree
  • 3+ years of copywriting experience, digital/ecommerce copywriting experience
preferred
  • Knowledge of ecommerce and digital marketing best practices
  • Ability to tailor your writing to a specific brand voice
  • Ability to work quickly to meet deadlines
  • Portfolio of samples showcasing creative work
