Job Description:
K.R. Mangalam University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Coordinator – UX/UI and Interaction Design to lead and manage the B.Des. program in UX/UI and Interaction Design. The role demands a strong understanding of user-centered design, interaction principles, and hands-on proficiency in industry-standard software and prototyping tools. The candidate will be responsible for academic leadership, curriculum development, and mentoring a team of faculty and students to meet industry-relevant learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead academic planning, curriculum alignment, and student engagement activities
  • Teach core courses in UX research, UI design, interaction design, and prototyping
  • Guide students in real-world projects, internships, and portfolio development
  • Integrate software training into design pedagogy to meet current industry demands
  • Foster collaborations with industry partners and organize guest lectures/workshops
  • Support faculty development and academic operations of the program
Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Axure, and Webflow
  • Strong understanding of user research, information architecture, wireframing, and usability testing
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, responsive design, and basic front-end frameworks
  • Familiarity with interaction design for web, mobile, and emerging interfaces
  • Ability to manage teams, coordinate cross-functional activities, and mentor students effectively
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Communication Design, HCI, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant academic/industry experience in UX/UI and interaction design
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX processes, UI systems, and interactive prototypes
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
