As a Coordinator and Technical Writer, you will be responsible for overseeing the documentation process to ensure technical materials are accurate, clear, and user-friendly. Your role will involve project management, content development, collaboration with stakeholders, quality assurance, process improvement, and training and support. **Responsibilities:** - **Project Management:** - Plan and manage documentation projects, including setting timelines and milestones. - Coordinate between technical writers and other departments such as engineering and marketing. - **Content Development:** - Assist in writing, editing, and reviewing user manuals, guides, FAQs, and other technical documents. - Tailor content to the target audience, making complex information accessible. - **Collaboration:** - Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure technical accuracy. - Facilitate communication between writers and developers/designers to align documentation with product changes. - **Quality Assurance:** - Review documentation for consistency, clarity, and adherence to style guides. - Implement feedback from users and stakeholders to enhance documentation quality. - **Process Improvement:** - Develop and maintain best practices for technical writing and documentation processes. - Evaluate and incorporate documentation tools and technologies for process enhancement. - **Training and Support:** - Provide guidance and support to junior writers and team members. - Organize training sessions on documentation tools and processes. **Skills Required:** 1. Strong Writing Skills: Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured documents. 2. Project Management: Experience in managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations. 3. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with documentation tools like MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, and content management systems. 4. Attention to Detail: Strong editing and proofreading skills for ensuring high-quality output. 5. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and communicate with SMEs.
