Job Overview

Golden Africa Resources is looking for a Pure Vegetarian Home Cook cum Caretaker for our company guest houses in DRC, Africa. The ideal candidate should be experienced in preparing Indian pure vegetarian home-style food and also be responsible for the basic upkeep and care of the guest house. This role is best suited for a disciplined, trustworthy, and service-oriented individual.

Key Roles & Responsibilities Cooking Responsibilities:

• Prepare pure vegetarian, hygienic, and home-style Indian meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
• Plan daily menus as per availability of ingredients and guest preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, utensils, and food storage areas.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of groceries and kitchen supplies.
• Manage kitchen inventory and inform management about grocery requirements.

Caretaker Responsibilities:

• Take care of the guest house cleanliness, basic maintenance, and daily arrangements.
• Ensure rooms, common areas, and washrooms are clean and well-maintained.
• Coordinate with housekeeping or local support staff if required.
• Report any maintenance, safety, or utility issues to the management.
• Assist guests with basic needs and ensure a comfortable stay.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a pure vegetarian cook (Indian home food preferred).
• Ability to cook simple, healthy, and tasty meals consistently.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Experience as a caretaker/house helper is an added advantage.
• Honest, disciplined, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to stay and work in DRC, Africa for long-term assignment.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Indian candidate preferred (familiar with Indian vegetarian cuisine).
• Age: 30–55 years (flexible based on experience).
• Good health and ability to manage daily household responsibilities.
• Basic communication skills in Hindi/English (local language knowledge is a plus).
