Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Cook for a residential school to manage all kitchen operations and prepare healthy, hygienic meals for 30 to 175 students. The cook must be skilled in preparing vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and be capable of handling bulk cooking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner as per the planned menu.
• Cook vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals as per school and dietary requirements.
• Manage food preparation for varying student strength (30 to 175 students).
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining area.
• Clean kitchen utensils, cooking equipment, and maintain cleanliness post-cooking.
• Maintain stock of groceries, vegetables, and kitchen essentials.
• Assist in menu planning and ensure timely meal service.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.
• Be available for residential stay and support in all kitchen-related tasks.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in institutional/bulk cooking (schools, hostels, canteens, etc.).
• Ability to cook both veg and non-veg meals.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene practices and food safety.
• Physically fit and capable of handling bulk cooking equipment.
• Willingness to stay on campus (residential).
• Ability to manage kitchen alone or with support staff.
• Basic understanding of English or local language for communication.

Preferred Candidates:

• Those with previous experience in school kitchens, hostels, or mess facilities.
• Couples (cook + helper/cleaner) may also apply.
