Conversational Designer (Voice / Text)

As a Conversational Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and scalable conversational experiences across various platforms such as chatbots, virtual assistants, and omnichannel interfaces. Your role will involve collaborating with teams to deliver impactful solutions, especially in healthcare and other complex industries. Your essential responsibilities will include gathering technical requirements, designing conversational flows, creating prototypes, and delivering chatbot and virtual assistant experiences. You will contribute to conversational UI, interactions, and visual tone while ensuring alignment with brand principles. Additionally, you will use data-driven insights to propose content changes that balance user needs and business goals. To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in conversational design, UX writing, or interaction design. Your understanding of natural language technologies, APIs, and conversational tech stacks will be essential for designing within current capabilities. Strong knowledge of user experience research and design methodologies is required, along with experience in conversation design tools and frameworks. You will need strong organization, self-management, and Agile project execution skills to succeed in this position. Your ability to apply design thinking exercises and human-centered facilitation methods to solve complex problems will be crucial. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for presenting effectively to cross-functional teams and leadership. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience with conversational flows and digital interface design. Technical knowledge of conversational design fundamentals and communication skills across different channels are also required. Experience in designing conversational experiences in regulated industries and for accessibility standards is preferred.
