Job Title:

Division/Function:

Aim:

Responsibilities:

  1. To study the bid documents, identification of potential risk area, contingency plan and inform Tendering team so that it can be incorporated in the quotation of the works
  2. To prepare the queries during pre-bid stage for client to bring more clarity in the assessment of the proposal
  3. To prepare Contract Appreciation Document (CAD) for internal circulation
  4. Monitoring the works from contractual perspective, safeguarding company's entitlements & performance of obligations
  5. Preparation & submission of claims for various issues arising out of works at site duly coordinating with site
  6. To monitor and guide the correspondence with client on behalf of company on regular basis to address any issue, scope of work, delays etc.
  7. To coordinate & interact with Dispute Resolutions Bodies (DRB) set up under the Contract
  8. To coordinate & interact with Arbitration Tribunal constituted for settlement of disputes
  9. To pursue the matter in respective Court through Legal counsel and Advocate on record - various submissions and follow up
  10. Coordinate with the Legal counsel for Arbitration duly supplying with proper inputs to strengthen the case
  11. Preparation of High Value work order and/or Agreements with Subcontractors
  12. Standardizing formats for various work orders /agreements to be made with subcontractors
  13. To make the project team aware and sensitive about the importance of contract and correspondence with client and identification of potential friction area (red flags) with client during execution of the project

Qualification and Experience:

  1. Educational qualification: B.E. Civil, LLB,
  2. Years of experience:
  3. Other Specialization: Civil Engineering, PGD in Construction/Business Management

Other Required Skills:

  1. Knowledge of appropriate laws & regulations related to contract management & claim realization- empanelment of/Networking with external legal counsels, consultants etc. for knowledge enhancement.
  2. Sound knowledge to understand, interpret and manage Contracts- Very much aware about latest trends/competitive practice. Prepares robustly for arbitrations/claim settlements.
  3. Drafting skills- Proficient in drafting all the types of documentations required for different types of contracts and complexities.
  4. Risk Analysis- applies past experiences and quickly catches probable risk factors. Sensitizes/support/communicates to the stakeholders about mitigation/risk handling strategies.
