Requirements:
- Min 5 years experience in copy & content writing
- Ad agency experience would be a plus
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications
- Demonstrated portfolio
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop compelling copy: Develop compelling and persuasive copy for digital marketing campaigns, videos, social media posts, collaterals, and internal communication. Ensure the content aligns with the brand voice and effectively communicates the desired message.
- Copy Editing and Proofreading: Review and revise content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines. Check for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors, and ensure consistency in style and tone.
- Campaign Development: Work closely with the marketing team to conceptualize and develop creative campaign ideas. Collaborate on the development of marketing strategies and tactics and provide input on the messaging and positioning of campaigns.
- Ideation: Combine different ideas and concepts to create unique and innovative approaches. Look for synergies and connections between seemingly unrelated ideas. Experiment with new combinations and explore how they can add value and engage your B2B audience.
- Understanding in Branding: Should have a deep interest & understanding of the brand's overall strategy, including its mission, values, target audience, and unique selling propositions. This understanding helps in crafting copy that consistently reflects and reinforces the brand's positioning.
- Communication: Effective communication is essential for effectively expressing creative concepts to stake holders and team members
- Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer insights. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and create content that resonates with the target audience.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with graphic designers, marketing managers, and other team members to ensure the content aligns with visual elements and overall marketing objectives. Provide guidance and support to junior copywriters when necessary.
- Audience Understanding: Understanding the target audience is crucial for a copywriter to create copy that resonates with them. They should research and analyse the audience's demographics, preferences, pain points, and aspirations to develop content that speaks directly to their needs and desires.
- Adaptability: Stay up to date with emerging digital marketing trends, new platforms, and evolving consumer behaviours. Adapt your writing style and approach to suit different digital channels and target audiences.
- Compliance: Ensure that all content complies with legal and ethical guidelines, including copyright laws, data protection, and advertising regulations.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of copywriters and content creators. Assign projects, set deadlines, and provide constructive feedback to team members. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment that encourages creativity and professional growth. Conduct performance reviews and identify training and development opportunities for the team.
- Project Management: Manage content projects from initial concept and planning through execution and delivery. Develop project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and track progress. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, design, product) to ensure seamless project execution. Identify and mitigate potential project risks and challenges. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
