Role Overview

A mid-level content writer responsible for planning, creating, and optimizing written content across website pages, blogs, ad copies, social media, brochures, product descriptions, scripts, and emailers. The writer must understand consumer psychology, industry language (building materials, retail, home improvement), brand tonality, SEO guidelines, and performance-driven content.

The role involves close collaboration with the SEO team, performance marketing team, design team, and product teams for high-quality end-to-end content delivery.

Key Responsibilities

A. Content Strategy & Planning

  • Understand brand voice and create content aligned with marketing goals.
  • Develop monthly content calendars for social media and blogs.
  • Analyze industry trends and competitor content to propose new ideas.

B. Website & SEO Content Writing

  • Write SEO-driven landing pages, product pages, category pages, and blogs.
  • Incorporate target keywords following SEO best practices.
  • Create readable, engaging, and conversion-focused web copy.
  • Work with SEO executive for content briefs, interlinking, metadata, etc.

C. Social Media Content

  • Write captions, scripts, hooks, and stories for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Create thumb-stopping copy for reels, ads, and lifestyle content.
  • Support campaign messaging and creative ideation.

D. Performance Marketing & Ad Copies

  • Create high-performing ad copy for:
  • Google Search Ads
  • Meta Ads (FB/Instagram)
  • Display Ads
  • YouTube Ads
  • Continuously run copy-based A/B tests with performance team.
  • Improve CTR by refining messaging based on performance insights.

E. E-Commerce & Product Content

  • Write product descriptions, feature lists, product USPs for AEL brands.
  • Create content for e-commerce portals, brochures, catalogues, and packaging.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of product information.

F. Video Scripts & Storytelling

  • Write scripts for reels, YouTube videos, product demos, testimonials, corporate videos.
  • Prepare VO scripts, storyboard lines, and content flow.

G. Corporate Communication

  • Draft internal communication, newsletters, emailers, HR announcements, PR statements.
  • Write speeches, event scripts, brand guidelines content.

H. Content Quality & Editing

  • Proofread and edit all outgoing content for grammar, tone, and clarity.
  • Maintain consistency across channels.
  • Ensure zero-plagiarism, brand-consistent messaging.
