We are seeking an accomplished technology leader to join Oracle Health's innovative software engineering team as a Consulting Member of Technical Staff (IC5). In this pivotal role, you will architect, design, and deliver next-generation healthcare solutions that advance clinical workflows and elevate patient outcomes. You will provide technical leadership across the Printing & Faxing and Discern teams, driving the modernization of critical EHR infrastructureranging from print and fax services to alerting, notifications, and decision support capabilities. As a senior engineering contributor, you will shape technical vision, steer complex projects, and mentor engineers as we leverage cutting-edge AI and modern software practices to transform the healthcare experience.Our mission is to empower clinicians and healthcare providers to focus more on patient care and less on technology, through intelligent, accessible, and user-centered EHR applications. Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related field (MS/PhD or equivalent experience preferred)
  • 12+ years of experience in production-grade, distributed systems and cloud-native software engineering
  • Proven expertise in architecting, developing, and ensuring the reliability of complex software systemsideally with exposure to health IT, EHR, or EMR platforms
  • Deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and secure, scalable system design
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, with strong Java development skills
  • Hands-on experience driving engineering and operational best practices across multiple teams and projects
  • Demonstrated success leading technical direction, mentoring, and recruiting in a software development environment
  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership, defining product requirements, and setting delivery milestones
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to lead troubleshooting on complex issues
  • Experience with AI-driven development and integrating AI capabilities into applications is highly desirable
  • Experience in agile, collaborative development environments
  • Familiarity with medical records management and regulatory requirements a plus

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect, design, and implement robust, scalable software solutions for next-generation healthcare products
  • Lead the modernization of printing, faxing, and notification services in Oracle Health's Reimagined EHR
  • Provide technical direction and leadership across software teams, ensuring engineering best practices and high-quality deliverables
  • Work cross-functionally to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and align software architecture with business goals
  • Mentor and support engineers at all levels, fostering professional growth and a culture of continuous learning
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and product management to drive technical vision, set roadmaps, and deliver mission-critical features on schedule
  • Direct the design and integration of workflows that interface with both internal and external systems
  • Champion the adoption of AI technologies and modern development practices within the team
  • Oversee code quality, technical documentation, and system troubleshooting efforts
  • Continuously explore emerging technologies and propose innovations to enhance our product capabilities and customer impact
