Job Description

I. Job

Department

III. Core Responsibilities

To supervise standardized & perform all tests related to Blood Bank.
To interpret all tests results performed in Blood Bank and arrive at a diagnosis in correlation with the clinical findings.
To give advice additional laboratory test required to arrive at the diagnosis.
To perform procedure for bone marrow aspiration and trephine biopsies.
To give blood transfusion consultants for therapeutic uses of blood and blood products.
Planning, budgeting and coordination of Blood Bank activities of all the departments.
Coordination of Quality Assurance and Accreditation programmers.
To demonstrate effective application of technical & professional knowledge.
Filling out all paperwork involved in each process.
To keep updated with latest research & treatment techniques in the field of Transfusion Medicine.
To attend emergencies as per institutions protocol and to ensure the department is suitably equipped at all times.
To supervise & train all technical assistants of the department.
To ensure cost effectiveness of the operation of the department.
To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.

IV. Measurable Deliverables

100% compliance in the documentation part.
Confidently handle medical responsibilities independently without errors or complaints.

V. Minimum

MBBS, MD- Transfusion Medicine

Technical Skills
