A leading tertiary-care provider in the healthcare sector focused on neurosciences, neurotrauma and complex spine care. Our centre delivers high-acuity surgical services, comprehensive neurocritical management and multidisciplinary rehabilitation for adult and pediatric patients across India. We are expanding our on-site clinical team to strengthen operative services, academic programs and research in advanced neurosurgical care.Role: Consultant Neurosurgeon (Primary title: Consultant Neurosurgeon)Role & Responsibilities
- Perform elective and emergency cranial and spinal surgeries, including tumour resections, cerebrovascular procedures, trauma management and complex degenerative spine operations with high standards of patient safety and outcomes.
- Lead pre-operative planning and intraoperative decision-making using neuronavigation, intraoperative monitoring and minimally invasive/endoscopic techniques where appropriate.
- Manage neurocritical care in collaboration with intensivistsstabilise, monitor and optimise peri-operative neurological patients to reduce morbidity.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care pathways with neuro-oncology, neuroradiology, orthopaedic spine, rehabilitation and allied specialties to deliver integrated patient-centred treatment plans.
- Contribute to departmental quality improvement, morbidity & mortality reviews, clinical protocols and adoption of evidence-based surgical techniques.
- Participate in teaching and mentoring of junior surgeons, trainees and allied health staff; support academic activities including case conferences and research initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MCh or DNB in Neurosurgery or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- Valid Indian medical registration (National Medical Commission / State Medical Council) and eligibility to practise in India.
- Proven clinical experience in tertiary neurosurgical practice with documented operative competence in cranial and spinal procedures.
- Hands-on experience with neuronavigation, intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring and advanced microsurgical techniques.
- Ability to manage neurocritical care patients and participate in on-call rotas for emergency neurosurgical services.
- Evidence of clinical governance participation, strong decision-making skills and commitment to patient safety protocols.
Preferred
- Fellowship training in neuro-oncology, cerebrovascular surgery, skull base or complex spine surgery.
- Experience with endoscopic skull base procedures or minimally invasive spine techniques.
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications, clinical research or academic teaching roles.
