Role & responsibilities

Role Highlights:

• Perform invasive and interventional cardiology procedures such as:
• Coronary angiography and angioplasty (PCI)
• Pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implantations
• Balloon valvuloplasty
• Intra-aortic balloon pump insertion
• Interpret diagnostic tests including echocardiograms, ECGs, stress tests, and cardiac imaging
• Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions (e.g., myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias)
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, anaesthesiologists, intensivists, and other specialists as part of a multidisciplinary care team
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and mortality & morbidity meetings
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records in compliance with hospital policies
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and preventive cardiology
• Engage in academic and training activities for junior doctors and nursing staff
• Stay updated with the latest advances and best practices in interventional cardiology

Preferred candidate profile

Education & Qualifications:

• DM/DNB in Cardiology from an MCI/NMC-recognized institution
• Valid medical registration with MCI/WBMC

Experience:

• 05 years post-DM/DNB experience in interventional cardiology
• Fresher candidates with strong academic backgrounds may also be considered

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in invasive procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, temporary/permanent pacing, etc.
• Skilled in interpreting advanced diagnostic tests and managing cardiac emergencies
• Familiarity with modern Cath Lab equipment and protocols

Soft Skills:

• Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient safety, ethics, and quality care
