Role & responsibilities Role Highlights: Perform invasive and interventional cardiology procedures such as: Coronary angiography and angioplasty (PCI) Pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implantations Balloon valvuloplasty Intra-aortic balloon pump insertion Interpret diagnostic tests including echocardiograms, ECGs, stress tests, and cardiac imaging Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions (e.g., myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias) Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, anaesthesiologists, intensivists, and other specialists as part of a multidisciplinary care team Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and mortality & morbidity meetings Maintain complete and accurate patient records in compliance with hospital policies Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and preventive cardiology Engage in academic and training activities for junior doctors and nursing staff Stay updated with the latest advances and best practices in interventional cardiology Preferred candidate profile Education & Qualifications: DM/DNB in Cardiology from an MCI/NMC-recognized institution Valid medical registration with MCI/WBMC Experience: 05 years post-DM/DNB experience in interventional cardiology Fresher candidates with strong academic backgrounds may also be considered Technical Skills: Proficient in invasive procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, temporary/permanent pacing, etc. Skilled in interpreting advanced diagnostic tests and managing cardiac emergencies Familiarity with modern Cath Lab equipment and protocols Soft Skills: Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to patient safety, ethics, and quality care Ability to work in a high-pressure, team-oriented environmen
