Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

• Ensure cementing operations comply with Cairn Indias HSE Management System.
  
• Attend safety meetings and contribute to contractor safety programs.
  
• Report non-compliance in cementing equipment safety and oversee HSE documentation (e.g., STOP cards).
  
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of cementing chemicals and waste.
  

Technical & Operational:

• Provide technical oversight for cementing operations, including troubleshooting.
  
• Plan and supervise primary, secondary, liner, stage, and lightweight cementing jobs.
  
• Lead cementing design for HPHT wells, depleted zones, shallow water flows, and deepwater operations.
  
• Ensure cementing services meet quality, HSE, and regulatory standards.
  
• Coordinate inventory of cementing chemicals and materials in line with drilling requirements.
  
• Minimize Non-Productive Time (NPT) by recommending solutions in collaboration with mud and drilling teams.
  

Contracting & Procurement:

• Develop technical scope of work for cementing contracts.
  
• Lead bid evaluations and participate in witness testing for cement slurry recipes.
  
• Monitor cementing contractor performance and regulatory compliance.
  

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare reports, verify service company EOWRs, develop lessons learned, and support peer reviews.
  
• Maintain complete documentation of cementing-related waste and operational data.
  

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences (mandatory).
  
• Minimum 15+ years of cementing operations experience, with at least 5 years in operational management.
  
• Onshore and offshore drilling experience required.
  
• Strong project and personnel management skills.
  
• Deep understanding of cementing engineering, design software, and service provider tools and chemicals.
  
• Familiarity with environmental laws and abandonment protocols.
  
• Strong communication and reporting skills in English.
  
• Capable of remote operation management and planning.
  
• Experienced in preparing Basis of Design, Cementing Programs, and Purchase Requisitions.
