Consultant - Clean Air

Role Overview: You will be joining CEEW's Clean Air team as a consultant with strong programming and data analysis skills. Your primary responsibility will involve running and analyzing data from air quality models, validating it with various sources, and assisting in generating reports, policy memos, and research papers. Additionally, you will support outreach efforts and engage with stakeholders and policymakers in the air quality sector. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize modelling software like WRF and CAMx to gain insights on the impact of meteorology and emissions on air quality in India. - Validate model output using data from monitoring stations, satellite-derived estimates, etc., and apply statistical and machine learning models to correct biases. - Assist in producing reports, policy memos, and research papers. - Support outreach of research outputs through coordination with the outreach team and engagement with stakeholders and policymakers. - Participate in conferences, workshops, and training programs for a comprehensive understanding of developments in the air quality sector. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physics, Atmospheric Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. - 1-2 years of work experience, with potential relaxation for exceptional candidates. - Proficiency in coding with Python and prior experience in a programming/data science role. - Ability to present work clearly, think creatively, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate strong initiative.
