The CTVS Surgeon is responsible for performing surgical procedures involving the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs in the chest, as well as the blood vessels outside the heart and brain. The surgeon will diagnose and treat diseases requiring operative intervention, including coronary artery disease, congenital heart defects, valve disorders, aortic aneurysms, and peripheral vascular diseases. Key Responsibilities: Perform complex cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries, including: Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) Valve repair/replacement Aortic aneurysm repair Thoracic surgeries (lung resection, mediastinal tumors, etc.) Vascular surgeries (bypass grafts, endarterectomy, angioplasty, etc.) Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care. Conduct preoperative and postoperative consultations and patient assessments. Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on individual diagnoses. Supervise and train junior doctors, surgical assistants, and support staff. Ensure accurate documentation of patient records, surgical notes, and outcomes. Follow best practices for surgical techniques, patient safety, and infection control. Participate in academic, clinical research, and continuing education activities. Respond to surgical emergencies and be available for on-call duties as required.
