Consultant Anesthetist (Full Timer)

• Assess patients prior to surgery for fitness for anesthesia.
• Explain anesthesia procedure and obtain informed consent.
• Collaborate with surgeons and physicians on pre-operative plans.
• Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia during surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to anesthesia-related emergencies.
• Maintain records of the type and amount of anesthesia used.
• Ensure adequate ventilation, oxygenation, and circulation throughout the procedure.
• Adjust anesthetic levels as required by the patient’s condition or surgical stage.
• Provide post-anesthesia care in PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit).
• Monitor recovery and manage post-operative pain.
• Detect and manage complications arising from anesthesia.
• Provide airway management and resuscitation in emergency situations.
• Assist in ICU/CCU as needed for critically ill patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records, case notes, and reports.
• Ensure adherence to NABH/NABL protocols and hospital policies.
