Steel Fixer/Bar Bender A Steel Fixer is responsible for cutting, bending, and fixing steel bars and mesh used to reinforce concrete structures. The role involves interpreting construction drawings, measuring and preparing materials, assembling reinforcement frameworks, and ensuring they are correctly positioned before concrete is poured   * Read and interpret engineering and construction drawings. * Measure, cut, bend, and shape steel bars, rods, and mesh to required specifications. * Assemble and tie reinforcement bars (rebar) using wire, clips, and other tools. * Position and secure steel reinforcement within formwork or molds before concrete pouring. * Ensure correct spacing, alignment, and strength of reinforcement as per technical standards. * Use hand tools, power tools, and cutting/bending machines safely and effectively. * Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other construction workers on-site.
