Concept Artist

As a Concept Artist / Sketch Artist in the Wedding Industry, your main responsibility will be to conceptualize and create custom wedding designs that align with the client's vision and theme. This includes creating invitations, table settings, floral arrangements, signage, and other decorative elements. You will work closely with clients and wedding planners to design the overall aesthetic of the wedding venue, considering factors such as colour palettes, floral arrangements, lighting, and layout. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with vendors to ensure that design elements are executed perfectly. Maintaining excellent relationships with external partners is crucial to meeting design deadlines and specifications. You will also participate in client meetings, offering expert advice on design concepts and trends while considering the client's preferences, budget, and overall event theme. Staying updated on the latest wedding design trends, materials, colour schemes, and artistic styles is essential to ensure that our designs are contemporary and unique. Attention to detail is paramount, as you must ensure that all design elements are of the highest quality and in line with client expectations. Customization is also a significant aspect of the role, as you will tailor designs to meet the specific needs of each wedding, offering creative and unique solutions that match the client's personality and style. In addition to designing, you will create mood boards, design sketches, and visual presentations for clients to review and approve. It is important to present ideas clearly and professionally to convey the vision effectively. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Interior Design, or a related field. At least 2-3 years of experience in design, preferably in the wedding or event industry, is required. Experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design tools is preferred. Creative skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills, project management skills, interpersonal skills, and a passion for weddings and events are all essential qualities for this role. Preferred skills include knowledge of common materials, trends, and styles in the wedding industry, familiarity with floral arrangements, and social media knowledge to promote design work effectively.
