Description
Platform Design and Architecture: Participate in the design and architecture of platform components, including CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration using Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS EKS, Azure AKS). Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and high availability. Define and implement platform standards and best practices. Familiarity with Agile Project Tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence) Platform Development and Maintenance: Develop and maintain platform services, such as API gateways, service meshes, and monitoring dashboards. Automate platform provisioning, configuration, and management using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, Crossplane). Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform-related issues. Automation and DevOps: Advocate for and implement Platform Engineering principles and practices across the organization. Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead. Continuously improve and optimize platform performance and reliability. Familiarity with artifact management tools such as Artifactory, Nuget, Docker Registry, AWS ECR, Maven GitOps: Design, implement, and maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux. Manage application deployments and updates through Git repositories. Ensure the integrity and consistency of deployments across environments. Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate effectively with software engineers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Mentor junior engineers on platform technologies and best practices. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud computing, DevOps, and platform engineering. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience: 2+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud computing, or a related field. Technical Skills: which are mandatory ? Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their associated services. Expertise in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Proficiency in DevOps scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi or Crossplane). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus). Strong understanding of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, VPC, load balancing, security groups). Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
