Job Summary

The Hospital Computer Operator is responsible for accurate data entry, system operations, and maintaining digital records related to patients, billing, and hospital administration. The role ensures smooth information flow while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and update patient details in Hospital Information System (HIS)
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and confidentially
• Generate patient reports, bills, discharge summaries, and appointment slips
• Assist OPD/IPD registration and admission processes
• Manage data related to lab reports, pharmacy, and billing systems
• Perform routine system checks and backups
• Ensure data security and patient confidentiality as per hospital guidelines
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff
• Handle basic troubleshooting of computers, printers, and scanners

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 12th Pass / Diploma / Graduate
• Computer course certification preferred
• Knowledge of MS Office, Email, and data entry
• Familiarity with Hospital Management Software (HIS) is an advantage

Experience

• 0–2 years of experience in hospital or healthcare setup preferred
• Freshers with computer knowledge may apply

Skills Required

• Good typing speed and accuracy
• Attention to detail and data confidentiality
• Ability to work in shifts
• Basic technical troubleshooting skills
• Good communication and coordination skills

Working Conditions

• Shift duties including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Desk-based role within hospital premises
