# **Job Description – Lab Attendant**

**Position Title:** Lab Attendant

**Department:** Computer/Science Laboratory

**Reports To:** Lab In-Charge / Faculty / Institute Head

### **Job Purpose**

To assist in the smooth functioning of the laboratory by maintaining cleanliness, preparing equipment, supporting faculty and students during practical sessions, and ensuring the safety and orderliness of the lab.

### **Key Responsibilities**

* Prepare and arrange lab equipment, instruments, and materials before practical sessions.

* Assist faculty and students in conducting practical work and using lab equipment.

* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the lab at all times.

* Ensure proper storage and handling of lab materials, chemicals (if applicable), and tools.

* Report any damages, malfunctions, or shortages of equipment to the Lab In-Charge.

* Keep records of issued and returned lab equipment.

* Follow safety rules and ensure students follow safety guidelines inside the lab.

* Support in setting up new experiments or demonstrations.

* Assist in installation/updation of software (in case of computer labs).

* Any other duties assigned by the Lab In-Charge/Management.

### **Skills & Qualifications**

* Minimum Qualification: 10th/12th pass (Higher education preferred for computer labs).

* Basic knowledge of handling lab equipment.

* For computer labs: Basic knowledge of computer hardware/software.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Responsible, punctual, and disciplined.

### **Work Conditions**

* Full-time, on-campus role.

* Requires physical presence in the lab during working hours.

* May involve lifting/moving light equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fresher, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹6,086.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
