Compliance Engineer - AWS Security

As a Compliance Engineer joining the AWS cloud operations team at UST, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing compliance controls using AWS Config, CloudTrail, and Security Hub to monitor and enforce governance policies. - Automating compliance workflows through AWS Lambda, SNS, and SES for event ing, notifications, and remediation actions. - Developing and maintaining security baselines and configuration rules for AWS resources like EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC. - Collaborating with security and DevOps teams to integrate compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning. - Conducting periodic audits and generating compliance reports aligned with frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA. - Responding to security incidents and compliance violations with root cause analysis and corrective actions. - Maintaining documentation for compliance policies, SOPs, and audit trails. Qualifications required for this role are: - Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. - AWS certifications (e.g., Security Specialty, Solutions Architect) are a plus. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
