Job Description


What you will be doing:

  • Support senior chefs in the execution of menu items
  • Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation
  • Ensure proper storage and labelling of food items
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation
  • Kitchen maintenance and cleaning, following food safety requirements
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist in the creation of new menu items and specials
  • Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
  • Participate in kitchen inventory management
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations
  • Assist in the training of kitchen apprentices and new staff members
  • Contribute to the maintenance of kitchen equipment

Qualifications


Your experience and skills include:

  • Creative and passionate about food and customer service
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a professional kitchen setting
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in food preparation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new cooking methods and technologies
