Role Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Commerce Teacher to teach subjects such as Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, and related commerce topics. The ideal candidate should be passionate about teaching, capable of simplifying complex concepts, and committed to supporting student academic success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Curriculum Delivery

• Teach Commerce subjects (Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Entrepreneurship, etc.) to students of assigned grades.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
• Explain concepts with clarity and real-world examples to strengthen understanding.
• Prepare lesson plans, presentations, and teaching materials.

2. Assessment & Evaluation

• Conduct class tests, assignments, and examinations.
• Evaluate answer scripts and maintain academic records.
• Provide constructive feedback to students for improvement.

3. Student Engagement & Guidance

• Offer guidance and mentoring to help students excel in commerce subjects.
• Identify individual learning needs and provide remedial sessions when required.
• Prepare students for board exams and competitive exams (if applicable).

4. Administrative & School Responsibilities

• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and academic planning sessions.
• Assist in organizing commerce-related events like seminars, commerce fairs, and competitions.
• Communicate regularly with parents during PTMs regarding student performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or Business Administration.
• B.Ed preferred for school-level teaching.
• Strong subject knowledge of accounts, business studies, and economics.
• Prior teaching experience is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Preferred Skills
• Ability to teach using modern and interactive teaching methods.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills for accounting concepts.
• Comfortable using digital teaching tools (smart boards, PPT, LMS).
• Student-focused, patient, and disciplined approach.
