Job Description

As a Colorist at NxtWave, you will play a crucial role in defining the visual tone and color language across a diverse array of content. You will bring a deep understanding of color science, S-Log/RAW workflows, and visual storytelling to enhance mood, tone, and brand consistency. Your responsibilities will include color grading, look development, technical workflow management, quality control, collaboration, and creative input. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform color correction and grading on footage shot in S-Log/RAW profiles, ensuring visually consistent results. - Develop and maintain a cohesive color palette aligned with each project's narrative, mood, and branding. - Create custom LUTs and grading templates for consistent use across different content formats. - Manage DaVinci Resolve workflows, collaborate with cinematographers and editors, and maintain color accuracy through color-managed workflows. - Conduct QC checks on final outputs, ensure visual consistency, and provide creative input to interpret briefs and enhance storytelling through color. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Colorist in a professional environment. - Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve Studio, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or other NLEs. - Deep understanding of color theory, LUTs, scopes, color calibration, and working with various camera footages. - Attention to detail, strong creative sensibility, and excellent communication skills for collaboration.
