Job Description

Collibra Data Governance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and configure
Collibra Data Intelligence Platform
to support data governance, data cataloging, and data stewardship.
Partner with data stewards, analysts, and IT teams to define and enforce
data governance policies
, standards, and practices.
Create and manage
Collibra workflows
, business glossaries, domains, and data dictionaries.
Ensure accurate
data lineage, classification, and metadata management
within Collibra.
Support
data quality initiatives
by identifying issues and collaborating with relevant teams to address them.
Customize Collibra features to align with organizational data governance requirements.
Integrate Collibra with other systems like
ETL tools
,
databases
, and
BI platforms
.
Conduct training and onboarding for stakeholders on the use of Collibra.
Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and work with Collibra support when needed.
Generate reports and dashboards to visualize governance metrics and KPIs.

Required Skills:

45 years of experience in
data governance, data management
, or
metadata management
.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with the
Collibra platform
.
Strong understanding of
data governance frameworks
,
data stewardship
, and
data quality management
.
Familiarity with
metadata standards
,
business glossaries
, and
data lineage concepts
.
Proficiency in
SQL
,
data modeling
, and working with structured/unstructured data.
Experience with
workflow configuration
,
Collibra Catalog
,
Collibra DGC
, and
Collibra APIs
.

Preferred Skills:

Exposure to
data privacy regulations
(e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Experience integrating Collibra with
data lakes
,
data warehouses
, or
cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, GCP).
Basic knowledge of
ETL tools
(e.g., Informatica, Talend), and
BI platforms
(e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Certification in
Collibra Ranger
or similar is a plus
