Cobol Programmer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for working on COBOL development projects in the banking domain, with a focus on utilizing your skills in COBOL, DB2, and JCL. Additionally, you may be involved in projects related to CICS and PL1. Your role will require strong analytical skills, good communication abilities, and the flexibility to work on development and maintenance projects. It is essential to have knowledge of SDLC and an understanding of the Agile process. Familiarity with the Corporate banking domain will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize your COBOL expertise to work on development projects - Demonstrate hands-on experience with DB2 and JCL - Possess knowledge of CICS and PL1 for potential project involvement - Apply strong analytical skills to project requirements - Communicate effectively within the team and with stakeholders - Adapt to working on both development and maintenance projects - Understand and implement SDLC processes - Collaborate in an Agile environment for project execution - Leverage knowledge of the Corporate banking domain for enhanced performance Qualifications Required: - 7 to 11 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant role - Proficiency in COBOL programming - Experience working with DB2 and JCL - Familiarity with CICS and PL1 is a plus - Strong analytical skills - Excellent communication abilities - Understanding of SDLC processes - Knowledge of Agile methodologies - Advantageous to have familiarity with the Corporate banking domain,
