Job Description

You will be responsible for setting up CNC machines by studying engineering drawings and work instructions to understand required dimensions, tolerances, and machining operations. This includes selecting and mounting appropriate cutting tools, work holding devices, and fixtures on the machine, as well as setting machine parameters such as spindle speed, feed rate, coolant flow, and depth of cut based on material and desired finish. Additionally, aligning and securing the workpiece on the machine table will be part of your duties. Your role will also involve basic CNC programming tasks, such as entering CNC program codes to define the machining sequence, including movements, cutting paths, and tool changes. You may need to make minor adjustments to existing CNC programs as necessary. As a CNC machine operator, you will be responsible for loading raw materials onto the machine, starting the CNC machine, and monitoring its operation to identify potential issues. Performing trial runs to verify accuracy and making adjustments as required will be essential. You will also need to inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality compliance. Regularly checking and documenting quality parameters like dimensions, surface finish, and tolerances will be part of your quality control responsibilities. Identifying and reporting any quality discrepancies to supervisors is crucial for maintaining high standards. Maintenance and troubleshooting tasks will also fall within your scope of work. This includes performing basic machine maintenance tasks like cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes, as well as identifying and reporting machine malfunctions to maintenance personnel. Your role will require complete knowledge of CNC machine operation, including maintaining the CNC machine on a day-to-day basis to ensure smooth operation. You will lead and execute test runs as a CNC machine worker, inspect finished products to ensure they match the blueprint, and keep records of the machine's actions. Planning stock inventory, ordering and acquiring parts, turning instructions into computer commands, creating metal parts or components per design blueprints, and having a good understanding of the CNC operating system are all essential aspects of this role. Additionally, having knowledge of CNC programming work and working on the complete lifecycle of CNC operator work, from design and setup to production, will be expected. This is a full-time, permanent position with day and night shift options available. The work location is in person.,
