CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating, testing, and optimizing CNC programs for turning, milling, and other machining operations. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, selecting tools, setting machining parameters, and ensuring that components are manufactured within required quality and time standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and write CNC programs for machining centers, turning centers, and other CNC equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to generate accurate CNC tool paths.
• Optimize machining parameters for productivity, quality, and tool life.
• Set up and prove out programs on the shop floor in coordination with machine operators.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programs, tooling, and machining processes.
• Maintain a library of CNC programs, tool lists, and setup sheets.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to improve manufacturability and reduce cycle times.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and company standards in all programming and machining activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of lean manufacturing practices.
• QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience: r 5–10 years (for Senior Programmer) of experience in CNC programming and machining.

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Fanuc, controllers.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tool selection, and cutting parameters.
• Knowledge of both turning and milling operations

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
