CNC Operator/Programmer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining, with the ability to read blueprints and utilize precision measuring instruments. This role is crucial for ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet strict specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machines including CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, and press brake machines.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to create accurate machining instructions.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment, ensuring proper tooling and materials are used.
• Conduct quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the manufacturing facility.
• Participate in assembly line operations as needed, including materials handling and fabrication tasks.

Skills

• Proficient in CNC programming with experience in Fanuc controls preferred.
• Knowledge of CAM programming techniques for efficient machining processes.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and their applications in manufacturing.
• Experience operating various machinery including stamping presses, flexo presses, and welding equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively.
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles for precise manufacturing.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tasks.
• Previous factory or warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
