Perform CNC and VMC machine setup as per process sheets, control plans, and work instructions. Load and verify correct programs, tooling, fixtures, and offsets before production start. Conduct first-piece approval and ensure process readiness prior to mass production. Monitor machining processes to ensure dimensional and surface quality requirements are met. Carry out tool setting, tool offset corrections, and tool life monitoring as per standards. Respond to machine alarms, breakdowns, power cuts, and tool change events by following defined reactivity procedures. Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming parts immediately to prevent outflow. Record production, rejection, and tool change data accurately in the system/logs. Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams during quality or machine-related issues. Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, cycle time, and scrap.
Ensure strict adherence to control plan requirements and critical-to-function (CTF) parameters. Verify dimensional conformity through in-process gauges and first-off checks. Support containment actions during quality issues and ensure no NC parts move to the next process. Follow FIFO principles and proper part handling to avoid damage.
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or related discipline.
25 years of experience in CNC / VMC machine setup and operation (automotive machining preferred).
