Job Description

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lathe Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating lathes in a manufacturing or machine shop environment. This role involves precision machining of metal components using both manual and/or CNC lathes. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate lathe machines to perform turning, facing, threading, and related operations. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications. Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications. Maintain tools and equipment, and perform routine maintenance. Ensure a clean and safe working environment. Work closely with quality control and production teams to meet deadlines. Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in turning and thread cutting operations. Strong understanding of machining principles and metal properties. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers). Good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Preferred Candidate Profile: 2–5 years of experience as a lathe operator (manual and/or CNC). Reliable, punctual, and a team player. Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required.
