The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of VMware products and technologies, including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related virtualization tools. The VMware Certified Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting VMware solutions to ensure the stability, security, and performance of the organizations virtual environment.Key Responsibilities: 1. VMware Infrastructure Management: • Install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, and vCenter environments. • Monitor performance, resource usage, and capacity to ensure system stability and efficiency. • Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations within the VMware environment. 2. Design and Deployment: • Design and implement virtual infrastructure solutions to support business needs. • Develop and maintain best practices for VMware architecture and deployment. • Provide expertise in virtual machine (VM) creation, cloning, and migration. 3. Troubleshooting and Support: • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMware infrastructure and virtual machines. • Provide technical support for VM performance issues, storage, and network configurations. • Collaborate with other IT teams to diagnose and resolve issues. 4. Security and Compliance: • Ensure proper security measures are in place for virtual environments. • Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments. • Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for virtual environments. 5. Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure changes and configurations. • Generate reports on system performance, capacity, and incidents. • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs). 6. Training and Development: • Stay updated on the latest VMware technologies and industry trends. • Provide training and guidance to junior team members.Required Skills and Qualifications: VMware Certification – VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or higher (e.g., VCAP, VCDX). Technical Expertise – Strong knowledge of VMware products including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, NSX, and vSAN. Operating Systems – Experience with Windows and Linux server environments. Networking – Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, and virtual switching. Storage Systems – Experience with SAN, NAS, and storage virtualization. Scripting and Automation – Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or other automation tools is a plus. Problem-Solving – Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
