Description
As a Lead I in Software Testing (Automation) at our client, your primary responsibility will be to drive the design and implementation of robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Java, along with AWS Lambda-based automation workflows. You will be involved in end-to-end test automation for web applications, APIs, and backend workflows, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and leading quality improvements across teams. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java. - Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing. - Implement automated test cases for web applications, APIs, and backend workflows. - Work with AWS Lambda functions for automation workflows, validation tasks, or supporting test utilities. - Develop supporting utilities and scripts using Python to extend and optimize automation capabilities. - Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to understand requirements and build robust test scenarios. - Identify, log, and track defects; perform root-cause analysis and work closely with developers on resolutions. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar). Qualifications Required: - Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java (framework design + scripting). - Proven experience building and maintaining Automation Frameworks (functional, regression, E2E). - Practical, production experience with AWS Lambda in test automation workflows or validation tasks. - Strong Python experience for developing supporting utilities and automation scripts. - Solid experience in Automation Testing for web and backend services. - API Testing experience for REST/SOAP using tools/frameworks such as Postman, RestAssured, etc. - Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and common testing methodologies. Additionally, the following tech stack keywords are mandatory for this role: - Automation Testing - Java - Selenium / Selenium WebDriver - AWS Lambda Nice-to-Have Skills: - Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar. - Exposure to cloud platforms and serverless patterns beyond Lambda. - Familiarity with BDD/BDD tools (Cucumber, Behave, etc.) is a plus.
