Cloud Solutions Engineer

As a Cloud Solutions Engineer at Apple, you will play a crucial role in crafting, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines on AWS, GCP, and other Cloud platforms. Your extensive experience in developing automation solutions in an Agile environment, along with awareness of DevOps methodologies, will be key in driving rapid prototyping and piloting of Cloud solutions. Your passion for designing and implementing innovative automation solutions on Cloud-based datastores will be highly valued in our team. Key Responsibilities: - Developing and performing a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives - Designing scalable and cost-effective cloud architectures with a focus on high availability, security, and performance - Continuously optimizing Cloud resources for improved cost-efficiency while maintaining performance and reliability - Contributing to the development of engineering and design standards, supporting infrastructure and Cloud operations - Managing interactions between business processes and technologies, translating specifications into production systems - Leveraging FinOps knowledge to optimize cloud spend, implement governance guardrails, and foster a culture of shared responsibility - Providing technical mentorship and support for teams to efficiently utilize GCP & AWS DevOps tools and services Qualifications Required: - Excellent scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby - Proficiency in AWS cloud platform - 8+ years of hands-on experience with Relational and NoSQL databases on premises and Cloud platforms - Experience in Cloud infrastructure evaluation, design, implementation, and management - Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI - Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager - Familiarity with Cost Optimization tools and virtualization technologies - Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams - Knowledge of Linux, Systems/Application Design & Architecture Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in migrating databases to and within Cloud platforms - Education & Experience: B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent Join Apple's IS Data Services Cloud Enablement Team and be part of a dynamic environment where your technical abilities will be challenged daily, allowing you to make a tangible impact on millions of users.
