Cloud Ops Systems Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure using technologies like Terraform, Kubernetes, GitOps/ArgoCD, CI/CD, GitLab, and Ansible. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and delivery of applications while maintaining reliability, security, and scalability. Key Responsibilities: - Create cloud infrastructure using Terraform to automate provisioning and scaling of resources. - Develop Terraform modules for new GCP resources. - Deploy, configure, and maintain containerized applications and microservices on GCP compute engines. - Create runbooks for standard cloud operations and implementations. - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes. - Utilize GitOps practices with ArgoCD for declarative, automated application deployment and management. - Collaborate with development teams to integrate GitLab and other version control tools into the CI/CD workflow. - Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and scalability of cloud services. - Participate in troubleshooting and resolving outages in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure incidents. - Configure and set up monitoring for infrastructure resources. Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management, preferably with GCP. - Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation. - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD and GitOps practices with ArgoCD. - Understanding of Linux systems and networking. - Strong problem-solving and communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
