Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Delivery Lead and SME Multi-Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP)

Experience Required:

12+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure and SME, with at least 5+ years of hands-on, end-to-end implementation and solution delivery across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

Job Summary:

• We are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Delivery Lead and Subject Matter

Expert (SME) with a strong background in multi-cloud architecture, database management,

networking, container orchestration, automation, and security compliance.

• This role involves leading end-to-end cloud infrastructure delivery from design and

implementation to compliance reviews, customer interactions, and operational handover —across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment

• Architect, design, and implement scalable, secure, and resilient multi-cloud infrastructures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Deploy and manage compute, storage, and networking services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.

• Implement and administer containerized workloads using EKS (AWS), AKS (Azure), and GKE (Google Cloud).

• Oversee migration of on-premise workloads to cloud platforms ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.

2. Cloud Networking & Connectivity

• Design and implement hybrid and multi-cloud network connectivity leveraging VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, and inter-cloud routing.

• Configure VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing, load balancers, firewalls, and peering across clouds.

• Ensure network resilience, performance tuning, and adherence to organizational and customer standards.

3. Database Architecture, Migration & Operations

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-native, hybrid database and self-hosted solution such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, Cloud SQL, BigQuery.

• Support database migrations from on-premise or legacy environments to cloud platforms,ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.

• Implement backup, disaster recovery replication, and cross-region failover strategies aligned with defined RPO/RTO objectives.

• Optimize database performance, scalability, and cost efficiency through query tuning, monitoring, and automation.

• Ensure regulatory and InfoSec compliance by implementing encryption, IAM, and audit configurations.

3. Cloud Security, Compliance & Governance

• Define and implement cloud security baselines, IAM policies, encryption standards, and compliance controls.

• Conduct and support PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and Well-Architected Framework reviews.

• Collaborate with InfoSec and compliance teams to perform security risk assessments and ensure audit readiness.

• Integrate cloud services with SIEM, monitoring, and threat detection platforms for proactive security management.

4. Automation, Operations & Delivery Management

• Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment workflows using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.

• Implement observability and centralized logging through CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver (GCP), and centralized logging.

• Manage end-to-end delivery of cloud projects, from requirement gathering to go-live and operational transition.

• Ensure cost governance, tagging policies, and proactive optimization of multi-cloud spending.

5. Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership

• Serve as the technical SME and trusted advisor for enterprise customers during architecture design and delivery phases.

• Lead customer workshops, design reviews, and InfoSec/security review sessions.

• Translate business requirements into secure, compliant, and scalable cloud architectures.

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to internal and customer teams.

• Prepare and present technical documentation, review reports, and governance dashboards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Deep hands-on expertise in AWS (EC2, VPC, EKS, IAM, CloudWatch), Azure (VMs, VNets, AKS, NSG, Monitor), and GCP (Compute Engine, VPC, GKE, IAM, Operations Suite).

• Strong knowledge of database design, migration, performance tuning, and backup/DR trategies across cloud platforms.

• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, routing, and firewalls.

• Experience in Infrastructure as Code & automation frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting for automation and orchestration.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container networking, and microservices deployments.

• Familiarity with Well-Architected Reviews, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and InfoSec assessment processes.

• Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization, and incident management skills.

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• Security+ / CCNP / CISSP (preferred)
