Position S ummary Sensia is looking for a self-organized and experienced Cloud Engineer who can define, implement, and manage Microsoft Azure subscriptions and resources. The ideal candidate is experienced in Microsoft cloud-based technologies, with a grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and ability to deploy them to help our business become more efficient. Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance, advanced industry knowledge and effective performance / cost optimisation is key to the success of this role. From day one, you ll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our cloud operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth. Typical Duties Work with the business teams who utilise the subscriptions and resources to understand their needs and to evaluate, identify and deploy optimal cloud solutions Optimising existing solutions for both performance and cost inline with best practices Advise business teams on best practises to implement new cloud technologies Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security Identifying, analysing, and resolving application deployment issues Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements Work with the Cloud Architect and Senior Cloud Engineer to define Sensia s cloud strategy and standards Develop and deploy effective Azure cloud architectures, utilising standardised deployment tools Execute the hands-on implementation of proposed solutions and provide technical guidance to teams during the solutions development and deployment phases Ensure adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc. Collaborate and partner with Rockwell IT teams in accordance with agreed governance Personal Qualities Persevere through obstacles to achieve results and remove obstacles to facilitate Sensia success. Demonstrate confidence, maturity and flexibility in response to work challenges. Provide early and clear escalation of critical issues. Clear effective communication to stakeholders. Effectively partner with the IT teams within Rockwell to resolve wider issues that Sensia cannot solve alone. Partner with the Rockwell Automation cloud team to ensure there is alignment, where practical, between the two companies Ability to meet business needs within corporate policies and industry best practice Minimum Qualifications Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology or relevant technical field Minimum of 3 years Hand-on experience with Azure Strong understanding of different deployment resource types and when to deploy each type(IaaS, SaaS,Paas) Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure Services and technologies, including VMs, Storage, Networking, security,and application services. Knowledge of authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, and RBAC Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform in technologies like Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate that deliver enhanced business value. Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraforms, etc. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Desired Qualifications: Experience with relational, graph and/or unstructured data technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Proficiency in PowerShell and/pr Azure CLI Understanding of Azure services, including FrontDoor, Application Gateway and Logic Apps. Knowledge in network architecture, including VNet, VPN, and ExpressRoute. Proven experience working with Azure Virtual Desktop in a professional environment. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for AVD automation and management. real-world experience designing technology components for enterprise solutions with a focus on cloud technologies. Experience building and supporting mission critical technology components with Disaster Recovery capabilities. Azure Certifications: Administrator
