Cloud Engineer (AWS) with DevOps Capability

As part of this role, you can expect the following responsibilities: - Assist in deploying and managing cloud environments, primarily on AWS (mandatory), and exposure to Azure or GCP is considered a plus. - Provide support for basic monitoring and logging using AWS CloudWatch or similar tools. - Collaborate with developers and operations teams to troubleshoot cloud-related issues. - Learn and apply scripting (Python, Bash) for simple automation tasks. - Gain experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. - Follow best practices for IAM, security groups, and cloud security fundamentals. - Assist in diagnosing basic cloud infrastructure issues. - Work with GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket for code and configuration management. - Understand and utilize Docker for simple deployments, with exposure to Kubernetes. To excel in this position, the following skills and characteristics are required: Must-have Skills/Characteristics: - Basic knowledge of AWS, including EC2, S3, and IAM. - Understanding of cloud computing fundamentals (compute, storage, networking). - Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. - Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation. - Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts. - Willingness to learn Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Other Desirable Skills/Characteristics: - Problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset. - Interest in cloud security best practices. - Awareness of networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, security groups). - Basic monitoring and logging using AWS CloudWatch or similar tools. - Certification such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect Associate (preferred but not mandatory). - Enthusiasm for learning DevOps methodologies and tools over time. - Knowledge of ISMS principles and best practices. - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
