The location of the role is in Gurugram About the job As a Data Engineer at RHI Magnesita, you will be part of a global team of data engineers and data experts who report to the Head of Data & Analytics Delivery. Your focus lies in designing and implementing comprehensive analytics solutions, spanning from data extraction and ingestion to transformation and consumption. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to leverage data from SAP S/4HANA systems design & implement analytics solutions with cloud-based technologies including Databricks , Azure data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and more to support business decisions employ agile techniques and Scrum methodology to manage projects efficiently and ensure timely delivery of data solutions. In addition, your tasks will include Extracting data from various SAP source objects (such as CDS views, extractors, tables) with a focus on efficient delta extraction Optimizing data transformation processes to improve performance and scalability Developing SQL databases and other tools necessary for data retrieval and analytics Ensuring best practices and compliance with data governance and security policies Documenting processes and coding consistently and comprehensively About You You are a strong communicator with a collaborative attitude. Education & Skills Higher education (or comparable work experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field Profound knowledge of SAP / SAP S/4HANA data structures, extraction methods and basic overview/understanding of SAP business processes Proficiency in programming languages used in data transformation, particularly SQL Languages English Proficient/Fluent Any other language will be considered an asset Work Experience A couple years of experience in data engineering, ideally based on SAP source systems Experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Lake and Databricks Strong experience in developing and managing SQL databases Why you should work for RHI Magnesita You will perform in a customer focused environment.
