Description
As a Cloud Architect with 11 to 18 years of experience, you will be responsible for defining cloud strategies and architectures across multiple platforms, focusing on Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) native cloud products. Your expertise in cloud migration and adoption, combined with a strong background in on-premises systems and automation, will be crucial for this role. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with Product Owners, Architects, and Application Owners to design cloud migration strategies using Azure Migrate and Google Cloud Migration Center. You will be expected to produce designs and make architectural decisions that facilitate seamless migrations from cloud to cloud and from on-premises to resilient cloud landing zones on Azure and GCP. Your role will also involve engineering automated solutions using Infrastructure as Code and orchestration tools to accelerate the assessment and migration of workloads with minimal downtime. Furthermore, you will optimize infrastructure and modernize applications through various approaches such as rehosting, refactoring, and rearchitecting where beneficial. Utilizing tools like Azure Migrate and Google Cloud Migration Center for server, storage, database, and application discovery and migration will be a critical part of your responsibilities. You will collaborate with Security and Identity Access Management (IAM) teams to ensure security, compliance, and governance throughout the migration lifecycle. Documenting best practices to support future migrations and scalability will also be an essential aspect of your role. Your required skills and experience include excellent leadership and communication abilities, proficiency in working with Agile methodologies, and experience in mass-migrating workloads across platforms from on-premises and cloud origins to Azure and GCP. You should have expertise in Azure and GCP services, including Compute, Networking, Storage, Databases, Security, and Identity. Hands-on experience with Azure Migrate and Google Cloud Migration Center tools is necessary, encompassing tasks such as discovery, assessment, replication, server migration, database migration, and web application migration. A comprehensive understanding of Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system requirements and dependencies is expected from you. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and Orchestration/Automation tooling such as Terraform, Harness, and scripting languages is essential. Familiarity with Azure security and compliance frameworks, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments using tools like Terraform Cloud, GitHub, and Harness will be beneficial for this role. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work across teams, and the confidence to present and defend designs in governance forums are qualities that you should possess. Your focus should be on automation, reducing toil, and minimizing technical debt to ensure efficient and effective cloud migration strategies and architectures.,
