Clamp Truck Driver

A Clamp Truck Driver (or Clamp Operator) job involves safely operating a specialized forklift to load, unload, and move materials, particularly those that are difficult to handle with standard forks, using clamps instead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating the Clamp Truck:Safely and efficiently operate the clamp truck to pick up, transport, and place materials, ensuring proper load securing.
• Loading and Unloading:Load and unload goods from vehicles, storage areas, and machines, using the clamp truck's specialized attachments.
• Material Handling:Move various materials, including lumber, crates, pallets, and other items, using the clamp truck.
• Warehouse Operations:Assist with general warehouse operations, including stocking, sorting, and organizing materials.
• Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety regulations, company guidelines, and procedures related to operating the clamp truck and handling materials.
• Equipment Maintenance:Perform routine checks on the clamp truck, reporting any necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of materials handled, loads transported, and any issues encountered.
• Communication:Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and other personnel regarding material movements and any potential issues.
• Quality Control:Ensure that materials are handled and transported in a manner that prevents damage or loss.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Forklift Certification:Possess a valid forklift certification, specifically for operating clamp trucks.
• Driving Experience:Have experience operating industrial vehicles, including clamp trucks.
• Physical Stamina:Be physically capable of performing the required tasks, including lifting and moving materials.
• Attention to Detail:Possess strong attention to detail to ensure accurate material handling and load securing.
• Safety Knowledge:Have a strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to material handling and industrial vehicles.
• Communication Skills:Be able to communicate effectively with warehouse staff and other personnel.
• Problem-Solving Skills:Be able to identify and resolve issues related to material handling and equipment operation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
